Craft Night With Friends!

Well, Mrs. K's posting about craft night with friends made me remember to finally post about a craft night I recently had as well!  A group of friends and I have decided to meet at least one Sunday a month for dessert and crafting time!

The first meeting was a few weeks ago, and we did Valentine's wreaths, a craft provided by my friend Anne!  Basically, she bought wire wreath frames, and then we tore the fabric into 1-2 inch strips and wrapped them around the frames.  We just tied the ends on the backside and tucked them in!  This is a super quick and easy craft that adds a little spice to your decor!

The fluffy wreath in the middle was done by my overly-creative friend Steph.  She tore the fabric into itty-bitty strips and tied them so the ends were left out.  And she did it on every row of the frame.  It was a lot more work, but it definitely looks cool!

And of course, it also provides spice to your puppies too!
Toby was very happy to model a wreath for you all!

Personalized Fleece Blanket

I'm revealing the project I've been working on with the rest of the heart fabric. I love fleece blankets because they keep me super warm. You can ask my husband, but I'm always freezing in the winter months. I made him a fleece blanket a few years ago as a present but I want one for me too!

This is a spin on the classic knotted fleece blanket. I just love the personalized look. Isn't she pretty?
More after the link on how I created this lovely blanket.

Valentine's Day Love Pillow

I decided to head to Jo Ann's yesterday because I have some special requests for projects. I think I enjoy giving away my crafts as much as I enjoy making them. Anyway, while I was waiting to get my fabric cut, I noticed the remnants were an additional 70% off. I'm one for bargain shopping but I didn't see anything that really struck me. Needless to say, since the place was packed I saw a pile of remnants on the counter that hadn't made it into the bin. SCORE! This Valentines Day fabric which was about 1 ft of fabric for only $0.70. What a deal! So here's my $4 pillow.

After the link, check out the photo shoot with my new friend...
