Hobo Bag Hankering & Giveaway!

I must say that I'm a purse girl. That and a shoe girl. I posted a picture awhile ago of my closet and the space dedicated to both is just ridiculous. Don't judge - I just love accessories.  I wanted to post about this awesome tutorial that Simply Modern Mom put on her blog. Super cute, huh? Here's the finished product from SMM's blog.

I made 2 cute purses -- one of which can be yours! Follow the link and see how...

So I set out on a journey to make some of these reversible bags. First I had to select fabric -- I have a tub of fabric so this was a little more difficult than it needed to be.
Since the first hobo bag was for a friend she made the selection. The outside is the black & white flower pattern from Ikea. I lined it with the bee fabric which is from Walmart. Next, I cut and sewed the base of the purse.
Here's a quick peek at the inside of the purse
It was coming along so quickly! Next came the handle (which I stabbed myself during the hand sewing part - ouch!)
And now the final product...
I realized how easy this design was to make and IMMEDIATELY started on a second. So here is it's friend.

Since I'm a new blogger and such, I'd like to giveaway the second hobo bag. Yep, that bag could be yours! Here's what you need to do to be entered:
  • Entry 1: Follow my blog! Click the little button over to the right. Then leave a comment saying you are following my blog
  • Entry 2: Leave a comment on one of my other posts.
I'm leaving my giveaway open until next Friday (1/28/10) and will let random.org pull a winner on Saturday. Check back on the 29th to see if you won it!
