I have seen quite a few inspiring pallet projects on the internet lately, so I thought it would be nice to try one of my own. The thing is, I am not much of a handyman. But my husband is! So, I commissioned the hubs to make me a patio side table out of the following items (total cost $0):
|
the aforementioned pallet (a mini-pallet my husband took home from work) |
|
some table legs from a busted table that
someone threw by the dumpster |
|
glass from a mini-fridge that the
hubs turned into a fermentation fridge |
We live in an apartment, so my husband did this with the following tools:
|
hand saw and a drill |
He mitered the table legs (with the hand saw) and screwed them onto the pallet. Then he trimmed down the top boards so the glass would fit in. The glass slid in snugly!
This is a really easy project (and even easier if you have power tools) and the best part is that it is free! Now time for pictures:

This is really cute! Love the addition of the glass in the middle. Thanks for your kind comment about my "chocolate" coffee table!
